BAF Juka 48"
Jurgis KAIRYS with
JUKA in Fukushima Skypark May 2009
The Juka Story The JUKA name comes from
Jurgis Kairys initials as they are
pronounced in Lithuanian. The plane is all
metal with some composite fairing pieces,
it's considerably lighter than the lightest
Sukhoi. The airframe has had subtle changes
to the gear (stronger) and tail surfaces
(bigger) than when the plane made its
hurried debut in Brno, Czech Republic in May
2002. Jurgis' forte has
always been Unlimited Freestyle aerobatics
which has allowed him to develop his quest
for new flight possibilities from himself
and his aircraft. He recently flew his own
creation in the form of the "Juka" aircraft
and has since been fine-tuning this aircraft
for future displays and competitions. Troy Peterson flying our DW YAK 54
